A second Jordan Neely video shows Marine let him go, help him afterwards
This video shows another angle of the Jordan Neely video after he was choked by a Marine. The Marine let him go and then tried to help Jordan Neely, who appears to be still moving and breathing at the time. Jordan Neely has 40+ arrests and was allegedly threatening people on the subway when a Marine and two other guys helped detain him, with the Marine putting Jordan Neely into a choke-hold that looked like something an MMA fighter would do. When fighters are choked out, they are fine moments after as it's a temporary thing, but whatever happened to Jordan Neely was clearly accidental and there was obviously no intent for him to die.
A medical examiner ruled Jordan Neely's death as a homicide according to CBS News who posted a news article about the ruling. That news story said the following:
фThe New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner confirmed to CBS News on Wednesday that the cause of death for the victim, identified by officials Jordan Neely, was determined to be "compression of neck" or a "chokehold."
Video obtained by CBS New York showed Neely being placed in a chokehold by another man for several minutes. The man accused of choking Neely was questioned and released by police, the New York City Police Department said. Police have not said if charges will be filed in the case.
"This is a solemn and serious matter that ended in the tragic loss of Jordan Neely's life. As part of our rigorous ongoing investigation, we will review the Medical Examiner's report, assess all available video and photo footage, identify and interview as many witnesses as possible, and obtain additional medical records," the Manhattan District Attorney's Office said in a statement.
